Anti-Inflammatory Green Smoothie

If you don’t already know we’re obsessed with smoothies, and almost everyday you can find either of us sipping on one while we run around. They’re easy, full of everything your body needs and delicious. Inevitably smoothies became a trending recipe on our site, so why not let smoothies be the queen of our recipes? (next to sweets of course).

This is the #SmoothieQueenSeries and here on KellyandErinn.com every month we will be giving you a smoothie recipe we’re currently loving. This month’s #SmoothieQueen is made to help you balance your holiday indulging. We truly believe that starting your day off with a healthy smoothie is one of the keys to a healthy body. That’s exactly why we created this anti-inflammatory green smoothie! Packed full of toxin fighting ingredients, you’ll feel bright and energized all day long.

Ingredients (Tap to make them disappear!)

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh turmeric
  • 2 dates, pitted
  • 1/2 avocado, pitted and peeled

Directions

    Blend all ingredients in a heavy duty blender until smooth

  1. Amazing smoothie, my family loved it. Now its something we have every weekend.

  2. Can I substitute regular water and coconut flakes for coconut water?

    Coconut water costs a small fortune where I live, and I never seem to be able to use it fast enough before it goes off.

    I’m gonna try it! Wish me luck!

    1. I would try it and soak the flakes first. This way they will soften. It will not taste the same however. You may not like the coconut ‘bits’ in the smoothie. Let us know!
